Remembering Dr. Walter Kempner’s Rice and Sugar Diet in 1940

Kempner’s Rice Diet program was initiated at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina in 1939 and this unique rice and sugar diet was curing diabetes throughout the 1940s, but you are likely to think that is impossible. Kempner’s therapeutic approach involved a regimen of white rice, fruit, juice, and sugar, but was initially exclusively reserved for severely ill patients.

Surpassing the effectiveness of pharmaceutical drugs and surgical interventions, the Rice Diet demonstrated remarkable benefits for chronic conditions such as coronary artery disease, heart and kidney failure, hypertension, diabetes, arthritis, and obesity.

Initially, the Rice Diet was administered for short durations and closely monitored due to concerns about potential nutritional deficiencies. However, subsequent research confirmed the safety and nutritional adequacy of the diet for the majority of patients.

A significant breakthrough occurred unintentionally when one of Dr. Kempner’s patients, a 33-year-old woman from North Carolina suffering from chronic glomerulonephritis (kidney disease) and papilledema (eye disease), unintentionally deviated from the prescribed instructions. Due to Dr. Kempner’s pronounced German accent, she misinterpreted his directive to return in two weeks, and instead, returned after two months. To everyone’s surprise, she displayed no signs of nutritional deficiency and instead exhibited robust health. Remarkable improvements were observed, including a dramatic reduction in blood pressure from 190/120 to 124/84 mmHg, resolution of eye damage (retinal hemorrhages and papilledema), and a noticeable decrease in heart size.

Following this incident, Dr. Kempner extended the treatment duration for his patients and expanded the indications beyond serious conditions such as glomerulonephritis and malignant hypertension. The diet was also utilized for patients with less severe ailments such as routine hypertension (160/100 mmHg), headaches, chronic fatigue, chest pains, edema, xanthoma, pseudo tumor cerebri, and psoriasis.

An impressive 93% of patients with elevated cholesterol levels experienced a significant average reduction from 273 mg/dL to 177 mg/dL after undergoing the Rice Diet. These cholesterol reductions surpassed those typically achieved by potent statin drugs, all without the associated costs and risks. Additionally, Dr. Kempner’s findings demonstrated the positive impact of a high-carbohydrate diet on blood sugar levels, leading to the resolution of type-2 diabetes.

The Rice Diet is primarily centered around the consumption of dry rice, ranging from 250 to 350 grams per day. Any type of rice is permissible as long as it is free from milk or salt. The rice is either boiled or steamed in plain water or fruit juice, without the addition of salt, milk, or fat. (One cup of dry white rice weighs approximately 200 grams and provides around 13 grams of protein, 150 grams of carbohydrates, 1 gram of fat, and 700 calories.)

The Rice Diet

  • Consume dry rice of 250 to 350 grams daily as the foundation of the diet. Use any type of rice without milk or salt. Boil or steam the rice in plain water or fruit juice, without adding salt, milk, or fat. (One cup of dry white rice weighs approximately 200 grams and provides around 13 grams of protein, 150 grams of carbohydrates, 1 gram of fat, and 700 calories.)
  • Aim for a daily calorie intake of 2,000 to 2,400 calories. Adjust the intake based on the individual’s condition; increase calories for underweight individuals and decrease for those who are overweight.
  • Include fruits and fruit juices in the diet.
  • Dried fruits are allowed as long as no additives other than sugar are present.
  • Use white sugar as desired (ad libitum). On average, patients consume about 100 grams daily (400 calories), but if necessary to maintain body weight, up to 500 grams (2000 calories) can be used.
  • Avoid avocados, dates, and nuts.
  • Exclude tomato and vegetable juices from the diet.
  • Supplement the diet with the following vitamins: 5,000 units of vitamin A, 1,000 units of vitamin D, 5 mg of thiamine chloride, 5 mg of riboflavin, 25 mg of niacinamide, and 2 mg of calcium pantothenate. No signs of vitamin deficiency were observed in Rice Diet patients during a five-month treatment period (epithelial, neural, or metabolic).
  • Allow approximately two months for adaptation to the diet.
  • Encourage regular exercise, while bed rest is only recommended for severe conditions.
  • Limit water intake to less than 1.5 liters (6 cups) per day in severely ill patients to prevent water intoxication and electrolyte imbalances.
  • Note that some patients with kidney disease may not tolerate the diet due to mineral retention issues.

Typically, the diet comprises a daily calorie intake of 2,000 to 2,400 calories, although this may vary depending on the patient’s specific condition. Underweight individuals may be provided with a higher calorie intake, while the opposite applies to those who are overweight. Consumption of fruits and fruit juices is permitted, while dried fruits are allowed as long as no additives other than sugar are included. White sugar may be consumed ad libitum, with an average daily intake of about 100 grams (400 calories). In cases where maintaining body weight is necessary, up to 500 grams (2000 calories) of sugar may be consumed.

Certain restrictions apply to the diet, including the exclusion of avocados, dates, nuts, tomato juices, and vegetable juices. Supplementary vitamins are incorporated into the regimen, including 5,000 units of vitamin A, 1,000 units of vitamin D, 5 mg of thiamine chloride, 5 mg of riboflavin, 25 mg of niacinamide, and 2 mg of calcium pantothenate. Notably, none of the patients undergoing the Rice Diet for five months displayed any signs of vitamin deficiency, be it epithelial, neural, or metabolic.

Adaptation to the diet typically takes approximately two months, during which exercise is encouraged. Bed rest is only advised for severe conditions. Water intake may be restricted to less than 1.5 liters (6 cups) per day for severely ill patients to prevent water intoxication and electrolyte imbalances. However, a small number of patients with kidney disease may not tolerate the diet due to their inability to retain minerals.

Once a patient’s health has been restored, small amounts of non-leguminous vegetables, potatoes, lean meat, or fish (prepared without salt or fat) may be added to the diet. However, if these additions result in adverse consequences such as elevated blood pressure, heart enlargement, abnormal EKG changes, or worsening kidney or eye conditions, it is essential to continue with the basic Rice Diet without modifications.

It is crucial for anyone undertaking the Rice Diet to be under the care of a physician proficient in diet therapy. Closer supervision is recommended for patients with more severe health conditions.

Promising Results in Diabetes and Cancer via Vegetarian Diet

In a groundbreaking study conducted by Beyond Science Labs (a division of an independent religious-based university), researchers have made significant strides in the fight against two prevalent diseases: diabetes and cancer. Through our laboratory experiments and tests on dedicated volunteers, we have discovered a potential link between the consumption of certain chemicals found in meat, eggs, and dairy products, and the development and progression of these diseases.

While the data is still in its early stages and further research is required, the initial results indicate that adopting a primarily vegan diet can eliminate or significantly reduce diabetes and cancer symptoms in as little as two weeks.

Understanding the Chemicals in Animal Products

Meat, including beef, pork, poultry, and fish, along with eggs and dairy products, has long been a staple of many diets. However, our study suggests that these products may contain certain chemicals that could potentially contribute to the development of diabetes and cancer. While the exact mechanisms are still under investigation, it is believed that these chemicals may disrupt metabolic processes and promote inflammation within the body, thereby exacerbating the progression of these diseases.

The Vegetarian Diet Approach

In light of these preliminary findings, our study recommended that volunteers adopt a vegan diet as an experimental intervention. The vegan diet, which abstains from all animal-derived foods, including meat, eggs, and dairy, was chosen for its potential to exclude the identified chemicals implicated in disease progression. Additionally, volunteers were advised to avoid processed foods, as many of these products contain chemical additives that may further contribute to the development or worsening of their conditions.

Promising Results and the Need for Further Research

The results observed in our initial study were truly remarkable. Many volunteers who strictly adhered to the vegan diet experienced a notable improvement in their diabetes and cancer symptoms within a short period of just two weeks. Blood sugar levels stabilized, insulin sensitivity improved, and cancer markers decreased in many cases. These encouraging outcomes have led us to release this information before completing the full studies, in the hopes of generating interest among other research laboratories to conduct similar investigations.

However, it is important to stress that this information is still in the early stages, and further rigorous research is necessary to confirm these preliminary findings. We acknowledge that the vegan diet may not be a suitable option for everyone, and individual considerations such as existing health conditions and nutritional needs should be considered. Furthermore, it is essential to identify the specific chemicals within animal products that may be responsible for the observed effects and to elucidate the underlying biological mechanisms involved.

How does what is in the food you eat affect diabetes and cancer?

While the idea that a vegan diet could potentially eliminate or radically reduce the impact of diabetes and cancer may seem counter-intuitive, our early findings provide a promising avenue for further exploration. By unveiling this information before the completion of the full studies, we hope to encourage other research laboratories to conduct similar investigations and contribute to the growing body of knowledge in this field. Ultimately, our goal is to improve the health and well-being of individuals by offering innovative dietary interventions that may positively impact their lives.

3 Steps to Get Rid of Cancer

Before I share the 3 steps to get rid of cancer let’s cover some details about cancer. First of all, cancer is nothing new. They’ve been digging up ancestors that go back thousands of years who following tests were discovered to have cancer. Most of them died with it and few of them died from it.

That being said, my purpose is not to diagnose or treat cancer or to offer you any medical advice. This is something that is personal between you and your doctor or between you and your maker or higher power. I only offer food for thought.

Where does cancer come from?

It comes from cells inside our body that go haywire and start waging their own war against the body from the inside out. Cancer is not a disease, a virus, or anything that can be tossed at you from outside yourself that you catch.

There are things that aggravate cancer within and cause it to wage this war. To do so, cancer requires resources to survive, thrive, and wage war.

Cancer cells are hungry for basically two things,

          1. Stress
          2. Toxins

These two ingredients combined are the perfect breeding ground for cancer.

As you may have noticed, we all are surrounded by these ingredients 24/7, so it’s no surprise that it is in close second place as the leading cause of death in the USA, as heart attack is number one, but not by far, cancer is spreading so rapidly, it could easily outrun heart attacks in the very near future.

Alternative methods of dealing with cancer are plentiful, but your doctor will insist that any of these are akin to “snake oil remedies” designed to fool you into forfeiting your cold hard-earned cash. Yet, people swear by many of them, and a Google search will turn up some 295 billion results.

Getting rid of cancer is not that hard if you have enough time to reverse the process. The less time you have, the more radical of an approach you will have to take.

Should you take chemo and radiation? That’s what your doctor will tell you to do, not just because it is so expensive (and therefore, profitable) but because that is how he was trained in medical school. Plenty of other people have gotten rid of cancer without chemo and radiation. I have been known to say that “you cannot poison yourself to health,” yet, according to the statistics, depending on where you find them, 2 to 14 percent of cancer victims are “cured” from cancer by taking chemotherapy and radiation treatment.

So, what can you do to get rid of cancer if you have it?

        1. Stop feeding the cancer toxins.

How do you do that? Change up what you put in your body.

            • Breathe clean air
            • Drink clean or purified water
            • Eat only non-toxic food
        1. Feed your body what it needs for optimal performance
            • Food designed for a human’s optimal performance
            • Not supermarket easily obtainable heavily processed food or fast food
        1. Create a healthy body state that does not support cancer growth
            • Live a stress-free lifestyle
            • Live in an alkaline-rich (high pH) body
            • Live in an oxygen-rich body environment

That’s it. In other words, making these three changes in your life,

1. Eliminate toxicity
2. Eat proper food
3. Live a mindful life

will get rid of your cancer if you have enough time.

Note that these are not weapons to battle cancer or anything else. You don’t need to fight for your life, just give your body the proper care, nourishment, and attention that it needs to live and thrive, then cancer can no longer live there. You get rid of cancer and you live on without it.

The 7 Keys to 3 Steps to Get Rid of Cancer

If you need help drilling down on these items, such as,

        1. What are sources of clean air?
        2. How do I drink pure water?
        3. How can I eat non-toxic food?
        4. What foods are designed for human optimal performance?
        5. How can I live stress-free?
        6. How do I increase alkalinity in my body?
        7. How can I live a mindful life?

I can help you do that.

If you have less time, if the cancer is running rampant and there is little time left to change your life, you will need to consider other, more aggressive, alternatives, and there are many of them to be found.

How to find the best one for you?

Find someone who was in the same position that you now find yourself in and ask them what they did to get rid of their cancer. Then, look for and ask someone else. Even though we are all human, each one of us is very unique, so what works for one person might not work for you, keep searching… you may find the right fit for you.

If you do not, well, 2 to 14% may be better than zero percent, but if it were me, I’d rather find a better way, avoiding the profitable poison therapy, which offers little hope, but admittedly some hope. And some hope is better than no hope.

Dangers of EMF in the Human Body

As wireless technology becomes increasingly ingrained in the daily habits of people worldwide, questions of negative potential health effects have also been raised. While industrial manufacturers of wireless EMF producing products, and their allies in science, have repeatedly declared these products “safe,” serious questions remain in the scientific community as to what effects, both long term and short term, using EMP producing products such as cell phones, Wifi routers, smart meters, bluetooth devices, and even the electrical grid itself might have on the human population.

In this article I’ll cover some of what is known about the potential adverse health effects of wireless devices.

Are EMFs Potentially Harmful?

Among the scientific community, there is no broad consensus about the overall safety of wireless electronics. Currently, most commonly voiced opinion is the conservative position that, “more research is needed.”

However,  some scientists are raising the alarm. One article in the Journal of European Psychiatry claims that, “Low intensity microwave frequency electromagnetic fields (EMFs) produce extensive brain damage and widespread neuropsychiatric effects.”

Fourteen effects that are considered proven side effects of even low level EMF exposure in the microwave and lower ranges – those typically produced by Wifi, cell phones, etc – are:

  • sleep disturbance/insomnia
  • headache
  • fatigue/tiredness
  • depression/depressive symptoms
  • dysesthesia
  • concentration/attention/cognitive dysfunction
  • dizziness/vertigo
  • memory changes
  • restlessness/tension/anxiety/stress/agitation/feeling of discomfort
  • irritability
  • loss of appetite/body weight
  • skin tingling/burning/inflammation/dermographism
  • nausea
  • EEG changes

The paper also proposes another 20 effects that may be linked to EFM exposure, but are not yet conclusively linked.

But, if so many effects are linked to EMF exposure in common household appliances, how can this be legal?

Why Current EMF Safety Guidelines Are Inadequate to Protect Users

Current safety guidelines for EMF exposure are only based on the expected temperature increases produced microwaves or radio waves are measured to produce in the human body. In essence, they are attempting to ensure you won’t microwave your brain. But these guidelines are not enough.

There are two reasons current EMF safety guidelines are inadequate.

  1. Safety guidelines underestimate average body size and levels of use, especially in cell phones
  2. Safety guidelines fail to consider secondary biological effects including activation of voltage-gated calcium channels (VGCCs)

Most developed countries regulate EMF exposure of cell phones based on models that anticipate 30 minutes of usage by full grown adult males. And completely fail to account for smaller individuals, including children, who may be using wireless appliances for hours at a time.

Effects of Cell Phone EMF on Sperm Count

One of the most certain effects of cell phone use is decreased sperm count and sperm vitality in males.

Carrying an active cell phone in your pants pocket has been tested in many countries, and is virtually certain to cause reduced sperm count in all cases. Further tests have been conducted by giving males who don’t usually carry a cell phone, an active device to hold for a short amount of time, which also decreased sperm count markedly.

One study of male sperm potential linked the amount of time one uses a cell phone directly with lower quality sperm.

Why is sperm count so well tested? Sperm is easy to collect, and cheap to find willing participants. But, the results are thought to reflect on similar, yet hard to collect, body tissues such as female eggs, and neurological tissues in the brain and spinal cord.  While sperm count only directly affects men, lower sperm counts are an indicator of serious dangers for anyone in close proximity of a cell phone.

Adverse Health Effects of 5G Cell Phone Technology

One new worry on the horizon is the potentially increased harmful effects of next generation cell phone technologies including 5G.

Studies of existing cell phone technologies have already found measurable biological changes due to exposure to cell phone radiation. They say that:

In vitro studies reveal that EMF even below maximum permissible levels may induce changes in the blood-brain permeability barrier and disorders in active transport of Na+, K+ ions and release of Ca++ ions by cellular membranes.

While they also list a number of reported ill effects including:

  • headache
  • fatigue
  • general ill-being
  • muscular pains
  • nausea

This particular report concludes that more research is needed to fully establish the effects of cell phones on the human body.

Further research has found that cell phones measurably affect cognitive ability related to slow brain potential.

While, most research on 5G seems to indicate that it is no more dangerous than existing phone technologies, one research team has serious questions about established testing methods.

These researchers identify two areas where existing research fails, which may mask the true dangers of 5G EMFs:

  1. Effects of burst transmission and data content found in real world 5G usage
  2.  Synergistic negative effects of existing EMFs, as well as chemical and biological toxins

Together, these failings mask what the researchers consider to be “adverse systemic effects,” beyond the skin and eye irritation already widely reported by other researchers.

Effects of Low Frequency EMF from Power Lines

While not often considered as a potential form of EMF, grid power lines currently account for the majority of electromagnetic radiation on the planet, in terms of power transmitted. Studies have found low frequency EMF transmission, in the 50Hz to 60Hz range, to have significant negative health effects including:

These effects all happen at relatively low levels of consistent exposure. The type of exposure typically found in homes. Especially if you sleep or work near in use power chords.

While exposure to low level grid produced EMFs are certainly is certainly not a new phenomena, it is possible that effects of such exposure may be underestimated. Although certainly not the only cause, increased rates of cancer and obesity in the general population over the last 100 years may be linked in part to the proliferation of grid power throughout developed countries.

Additionally, compound affects of both low frequency and microwave frequency EMFs produced by cell phones, computers, and other wireless devices may have an even more profound negative health affect. Unfortunately, such combined effects are rarely if ever investigated by health researchers.

Wifi EMF Effects on the Human Brain and Sleep Patterns

Wifi devices, and especially Wifi routers or base stations, transmit a consider amount of microwave radiation, including potentially harmful burst operations and frequency variations due to data content.

Studies in the European Union have identified the presences of a Wifi router in the bedroom to be a significant cause of difficulty sleeping, or poor sleep patterns. This sleep study ruled out the placebo and sleep effects due to blinking lights by testing some people with unplugged routers, and some people with fake routers with only blinking lights, but no radio transmitter or receiver.

Since Wifi operates in the 2.4Ghz ISM band, it is likely that other transmitters that operate in the microwave ranges including bluetooth, wireless phones, baby monitors, and cell phones may have similar negative effects on sleep.

Harmful Effects of Smart Meter Related EMF

While the effects of smart meter related EMF are not fully understood, the addition of another high intensity microwave transmitter in near proximity to the home is likely to exacerbate already established harmful symptoms of household EMF exposure, including:

  • Difficulty sleeping
  • Nausea
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle Pains
  • Irritability
  • Memory Loss
